Finance Manager, Performance Reporting & Analytics

Description

The Finance Manager, Performance Reporting, will design and deliver insightful solutions that improve Finance Operations? efficiencies and business decisions. The role utilizes plan, forecast and actual financial information to provide an understanding of business drivers and identify opportunities to improve performance. The Finance Manager will be a key stakeholder in data integration and communication between Equipment Margin Group and Marketing. The successful candidate will be expected to synthesize financial data into relevant analyses to support Executive decision-making. 

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy ongoing standard reports and dashboards for senior management.

Develop and create solutions to identify and validate multiple data sources, ensure data accuracy and build strategies to translate data into meaningful information.

Coordinate the development of tools and reports that provide business partners and senior leadership a platform to monitor and investigate performance.

Work with the team to design an interactive reporting and analytics tool that can be customized by users

Actively get involved in the ongoing design and development of the database to continuously improve the data management environment

Support in the development, implementation and maintenance of ongoing management performance reporting to allow for a timely business decision making process.

Design and maintain financial models and databases to support the business requirements, including formats for financial data required in the development of business cases.

Be a subject matter expert on all aspects of Equipment Margin Business and lead new projects and initiatives impacting the equipment margin team

Coach, support, and cross-train a team of Senior Analysts

Question the results and lead deep dive analysis and present findings in a business friendly fashion

Identify enhancement opportunities within existing processes

Qualifications 

University degree in business with a concentration in finance, accounting or economics

A CPA, Engineering or certification in mathematics, statistics or data analytics completed or in progress preferred

Working level knowledge of SAS or SQL experience and strong database management skills

4-5 years of progressive experience in telecommunications, and/or within finance or marketing department

Expert level working knowledge of Excel and other MS Office applications

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and competing priorities under short timelines

Comfort and confidence in dealing with senior leadership

Strong interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills

Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and motivating others

Self-motivated with a positive attitude, and determined to learn and sharpen skills on an ongoing basis
