Canada's Ocean Supercluster is one of Canada's newly announced supercluster initiatives located in Atlantic Canada. The Ocean Supercluster is an industry-led collaboration that will build Canada's ocean economy into one of the county's most significant and sustainable value-creating economic segments. Reporting to the Chief Engagement Officer, you will be responsible for developing and leading processes to build internal networks to identify innovation-focused project opportunities, identify and formalize partnership opportunities and to lead and execute projects with multiple stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities

Innovation Ecosystem Programs management and administration, including but not limited to;

  • Engaging as a thought leader with world-class researchers in academia, industry, and government
  • Developing strong and trusted relationships with Supercluster members, and key stakeholders
  • Supercluster project proponent responsible for the coordination and communication of ongoing projects
  • Guiding proponents in developing project proposals, including full development of key milestones, strategy and outcomes
  • Presentations and report updates to senior leadership teams, project partners, and key stakeholders
  • Coordinates and facilitates workshops and meetings with working groups
  • Tracking project agreements and supporting Controller with reporting requirements
  • Actively managing portfolio of high impact innovations projects
  • Working with innovation communities, future members and stakeholders to evolve and refine Innovation Ecosystem programs

Required Competencies:

  • Post-secondary degree
  • At least two years of experience in a similar role
  • Personable, presentable, articulate and able to work effectively with a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong administrative, organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • The ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to research, collect and analyze information
  • Proficient technical skills (i.e. MS Office)
