How Youll Make An Impact
You will ensure that the day-to-day functions in our Canadian payroll system run smoothly by verifying compliance with provincial and federal legislation, company processes, and system integrity.
Heres How Youll Do It
Working with a team of professional Payroll Administrators, you will be responsible for processing full cycle payrolls. Using your knowledge of Canadian payroll and processes, your strong attention to detail, and sense of urgency in meeting hard deadlines, you will make sure our employees get paid properly and on time. You will use your well-honed time management skills to meet multiple priorities. You enjoy problem solving and using your analytical skills to investigate discrepancies and resolve them. You believe in the value of teams and share your knowledge and findings with others.

Heres What We Expect From You
  • Able to follow processes to ensure various Canadian payrolls run accurately and on time each pay period.
  • Remittances for various payroll items, e.g. CRA taxes, garnishments, Union dues, etc.
  • Reconciliations associated to GL (general ledger) accounts.
  • An ability to work independently while contributing effectively to overall team goals.
  • Reporting as required.

What Youll Need to Be Successful
  • Post-secondary education in business, accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Payroll Administrator.
  • A proven ability to work within hard deadlines.
  • Solid Excel skills, e.g. use of basic formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs.
  • Comfortable learning multiple, new computer systems.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Sense of urgency in fulfilling all work.

Some Additional Experience to Help Your Success
  • Payroll certifications such as Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM).
