What You'll Be Doing
HR Shared Services is a Centre of Expertise within Human Resources and oversees, among other things, HR policies and programs. As an Employee Policies and Programs Consultant, you will support the Employee Policies and Programs team by providing administrative and operational support on day-to-day policy and program matters. In addition, assist with ongoing continuous improvement and special projects, as required.
How You'll Succeed
  • Consulting and Problem Solving - Monitor HR policy mailboxes and respond to inquiries or requests for consultation on HR policy and program matters, including CIBC's Employee Transition Support Program and Emergency Back-Up Child Care Program, by providing professional and sound advice within established response timelines.
  • Reporting and Records Management - Maintain records and trackers, and prepare reports, to support the monitoring and oversight of HR policies and programs, including CIBC's Employee Transition Support Program, Foreign Worker Program and Emergency Back-Up Child Care Program. Review and maintain up to date employee policies and programs records and inventories/indexes, and manage all activities related to the labelling and destruction of records to ensure compliance with CIBC's record retention policies.
  • HR Policies and Programs Administrative Support - Provide additional administrative support related to HR policies and programs, including reviewing and validating information related to employment history, as well as CIBC's Employee Transition Support Program and Foreign Worker Program. Maintain documents and reference guides to ensure up to date documentation of processes and procedures. Review and process invoices and consult with external service providers and internal business partners, as required, and maintain and manage invoice related documents and reporting.

  • You can demonstrate experience in consulting, reporting, research and analysis. In addition, you can demonstrate strong skills using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. It's an asset if you have experience in human resources and using HR systems.
