The Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour is seeking an individual to join the Provincial Office of the New Brunswick Public Library Service as a Public Services Development Librarian working in Fredericton.

As a member of the provincial office team, the successful candidate will report to the Head of Public Services Development. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, coordination and evaluation of provincial scale programs and services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the development, marketing and evaluation of provincial programs and services; leading provincial committees and coordinating their work; managing the development of provincial promotional campaigns and associated materials in print and electronic format; participating in identifying training needs, developing training materials and delivering training; participating in developing, implementing and coordinating online programs and services; identifying funding opportunities and preparing grant applications; conducting research and preparing reports including the provincial annual statistics report; participating in various committees; promoting the public library system by engaging in public and media relations; participating in strategic and operational planning; developing relationships with provincial partners; managing the development and budget of the professional collection; making presentations; overseeing and managing special projects; supervising project employees and assuming other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in Library and/or Information Studies from an ALA accredited program and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience. Experience working with HTML and MS Office software is required.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

The following operational requirement is also required: This position requires travel.

Salary: $48,178 to $67,366 per annum.
