PB 5 Provincial Program Consultant
Open (Term Position)

The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development is seeking an individual to join the Early Childhood Development Branch as a Provincial Program Consultant working in the Central Office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the productivity and quality assurance as it pertains to effective program delivery as it pertains to the Early Learning and Childcare Action Plan. The successful candidate will be responsible to review existing programs; design and develop new program elements in light of Government/Department policies and priorities, and coordinate and implement new initiatives and program changes. The incumbent will provide central support to regional offices in providing interpretation of program policies, procedures, guidelines and standards as it relates to the delivery of programs and services, monitor regional compliance to standards with provincial program/service policies, procedures and guidelines and lead the coordination of provincial meetings of internal functional groups.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: University degree in Business Administration or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience in project management. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate certification in Project Management, either PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince2 methodology. Experience in Change Management Methodology (PROSCI) also considered an asset. Experience with administering grants and subsidies is considered an asset.

Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.

The following operational requirement(s) is also required: May require some travel. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license.

Pay Band 5: $55, 406 - $77, 402 per annum
