Service New Brunswick is seeking individuals to join the Health Services Division in the Strategic Procurement Branch as Category Manager in various locations.

As a member of the Strategic Procurement team, you will be responsible for the development and execution of the category sourcing plan that delivers the targeted outcomes such as savings, process improvements, new technologies and increased patient outcomes. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring that incoming RFx initiatives are assessed, assigned, and addressed by the appropriate team members based upon the complexity and value of the initiative
  • Managing a team of resources to identify and execute the RFx strategy that meets the business need, contract management, contracting strategies, procurement law including the New Brunswick Procurement Act and transactional procurement
  • Interacting with key stakeholders

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a post-secondary education of four (4) years in Business Administration and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience. Subject to the response to this competition, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered, or the required years of experience may be increased.

Some positions require written and spoken competence in French and English. Others will require written and spoken competence in English only.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate they have training or experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Project Management experience
  • Facilitation, negotiation, conflict management, financial and problem solving experience
  • Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA) certification or equivalent
  • Understanding of health industry and marketplace

Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Frequent travel throughout the province is required, and you must possess a valid driver's license.

Candidates will be required to undergo Criminal History Clearance prior to appointment.

Salary: $64, 350 - $85, 644 annually - Pay Band 6 - Management and Non-Union Pay Plan.
