HOURS OF WORK :
Day, evening and night shifts
12-hour and/or 8-hour shifts - Rotation
Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.
ANTICIPATED START DATE : As soon as possible
JOB SUMMARY :
Implement the steps of the nursing process and preside over the episode of care within a helping relationship with the clients and their families. Perform all other related duties as required of the service
- Member of the Nurses Association of New Brunswick (NANB);
- Successful completion of a recognized critical care course would be an asset;
- Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) and must maintain the certification;
- Certificate in ACLS, TNCC, and PALS or obtain within one year after obtaining the position and maintain certification;
- Certificate in "Nonviolent Interventions in Crisis Situations" or obtain it within six (6) months after obtaining the position;
- At least one (1) year experience in medicine or surgery acquired in the last five (5) years would be an asset;
- Knowledge of information technology;
- Recognized skills in organizing and managing assigned workload;
- Recognized ability to function in a changing work environment;
- Recognized skills in teaching, communication and interpersonal relationships;
- Ability to work independently and as a team member;
- Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
- Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
- Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organization values;
- Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitality Health Network.
Written and spoken competence in French and spoken competence in English are required.
