The Wolfville Nursing Home is a privately owned, Accredited Long Term Care Facility in the town of Wolfville in Nova Scotia's beautiful Annapolis Valley. We provide quality care to 67 residents. We are currently recruiting for the following position:

Reception/Payroll/Human Resources Administrator

Responsibilities

Working Monday to Friday 40 hours per week and reporting directly to the Administrator, responsibilities may include:

  • Compiling, verifying and entering payroll data using Desjardins Payroll Service provider
  • Maintaining payroll records and updating employee files
  • Preparing month end reports and remittance
  • Collecting and tracking time sheets
  • Addressing payroll/benefits inquiries
  • Payroll account reconciliations
  • Other payroll tasks as required
  • Administer the company's benefits programs
  • Greeting and assisting visitors
  • Receiving all incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate department
  • Open and distribute mail; type and process correspondence
  • Assist the Administrator with tasks as assigned
  • Backup for data entry for company and affiliated company bookkeeping

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have gained a minimum of two to three years' experience in a high volume payroll/benefits position. With a keen eye for detail and solid organizational skills, you must have the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines; possessing above average computer skills and enjoy working both on your own and in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have one to two years of bookkeeping experience.
