Opportunity: Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager, Finance is responsible for ensuring that accurate and timely financial information is available for the management of NSHRF.

Primary responsibilities include providing sound and timely monthly financial reporting including variance analyses, financial management of the Foundation's Business Unit, regular liaison with the investment firm and preparation of regular reports on the state of the investments, annual audit preparations, and assistance with the annual budget process.

In addition, the Manager, Finance is responsible for preparing and coordinating the year-end audit file and communicating with the auditors. You will ensure accurate and reliable up-to-date financial information and reporting is always available for decision-making.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold an undergraduate degree in business with an accounting major; a professional accounting designation (CPA, CA; CGA, CPA; CMA) is preferred.

Desired Skills: The position requires an individual with advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and accounting software applications (preferably Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains).

Experience: The successful candidate will have five years of relevant experience in financial management/accounting and managing annual budgets in excess of $5 million. In addition, the individual should possess demonstrated skills in budget development, cashflow management, financial reporting and be comfortable communicating financial advice to senior staff. Knowledge of various government structures and the granting process and previous experience in project management and negotiation would be considered assets.

Compensation: Compensation for this position ranges from $73,493.53 to $85,199.14, plus a generous pension and benefits package.
