Service New Brunswick is seeking an individual to join the Finance, Human Resources and Strategy Division as Financial Systems Analyst in Fredericton.

As a member of the Financial Systems and Reporting team, you will be responsible for the support, maintenance and testing of key financial applications systems in use at Service New Brunswick. This position serves as a key liason between IT resources and Finance operations to facilitate project implementation and enhancements. Key responsibilities of this position are:

  • The operational maintenance of financial applications including end-user support, trouble-shooting and assistance in establishing business processes using current technology
  • The on-going review of user access, data integrity and integration points within applications to ensure secure, accurate and timely financial information
  • Act as a lead in any financial or reporting system upgrades or enhancements including researching, analyzing, testing, training, documenting and implementing for those systems
  • Other tasks as assigned

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: A university degree in Business Administration or Information Technology and a minimum of (4) four years working with complex Financial Systems and some accounting experience. Subject to the response to this competition, an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English is required.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate they have training or experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Experience working with JD Edwards or Oracle E-Business Suite
  • Specific training in ERP report writing
  • Specific training in ERP development

Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Candidates will be required to undergo a Criminal History Clearance prior to appointment.
