The Total Compensation and Benefits Branch at Treasury Board is seeking a highly-motivated, results and detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Management Information System (MIS) Analyst.

The Total Compensation and Benefits Branch is responsible for developing, delivering and supporting a corporate framework for job classification, compensation and employee benefits programs and services to sustain an efficient, quality Public Service. It also provides human resource management information for corporate HR planning, analysis, decision-making and reporting.

Reporting to the Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Reporting and analysis using MIS in support of HR functions and corporate initiatives
  • Defining and documenting user/client requirements.
  • Involvement in quality assurance process.
  • Participating in business system testing activities.
  • Ensuring the system is in line with business needs.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related degree with a minimum of 3 years related work experience OR a two (2) year post-secondary diploma in Information Technology or a related discipline and a minimum of four (5) years related work experience OR high school diploma or GED supplemented by the successful completion of a 1 year post- secondary diploma in the Information Technology field with a minimum of 6 years of related work experience. 

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate experience in one or more of the following asset qualifications:

  • Expertise with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with SQL in an analytical setting

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Salary: $43,862 to $61,308 per annum
