The Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour is seeking one individual to join the Apprenticeship & Occupational Certification Branch as an Administrative Assistant working in Moncton.

As a member of the Apprenticeship & Occupational Certification working team, the successful candidates will act as receptionist and will respond to routine inquiries concerning Branch legislation, regular policies and procedures. Other duties will include word processing, the preparation and distribution of routine correspondence including minutes, preparing, scheduling and monitoring various testing, the management of paper and electronic filing systems, cash handling, inventory maintenance of office supplies and specialized documents as well as data entry using the Apprenticeship Certification Information System (ACIS).

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma supplemented by completion of a one (1) year related post-secondary program and a minimum of three (3) years experience in an administrative environment which includes customer service, cash handling, inventory control and data entry OR a high school diploma supplemented by completion of at least a two (2) years related post-secondary program and a minimum of two (2) years experience in an administrative environment which includes customer service, cash handling, inventory control and data entry. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English and spoken competence in French is required. Please state your language capability.

Prior to appointment, the successful candidate will be required to obtain a criminal record check.

Salary: From $1,432 to $1,737 bi-weekly.
