Administrative Services Officer I
The New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees representing over 8,500 unionized Provincial Government and Private Sector employees in New Brunswick, is seeking applications to fill this full-time position in Fredericton.
Duties: An ASO I is the first point of contact with NB Union, providing bilingual service either by phone or in person. You are responsible for office equipment, photocopying, filing, preparing correspondence, and inputting data in the Union's customized database. You will provide professional administrative support handling sensitive information with a high degree of integrity and confidentiality.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. The position requires a person who has excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French. The individual must be flexible, results-oriented, self-motivated, and have solid problem-solving skills. The successful applicant will be able to work efficiently and accurately with great attention to detail to achieve deadlines while managing multiple tasks. As an ASO I you will have exceptional member service skills and be an enthusiastic team player. An Administrative Professional certificate or diploma is preferred.
Applicants will be required to demonstrate the required abilities during the interview process to be given further consideration. Those selected for an interview will be required to complete language and computer software tests.
Subject to the response to this competition, required qualifications may be modified.
NB Union offers a competitive salary and benefits package, commensurate with experience. The salary is from $1,508 to $1,925 biweekly.
