Finance & Administrative Assistant

Reporting to the Director of Finance & Administration, the position of Finance & Administrative Assistant will be accountable for a variety of duties including, reception, general administration, operations and security, vessel reporting and tracking, month end journal entries, reconciliations, assist with year-end audit, and other port related events, and special projects. 

The Authority is seeking a candidate with successful completion of a post-secondary education preferably a one or two year Accounting, Finance, or Office Administration course, with a minimum of two years' experience, or similar work experience in a related field. Superior oral and written communication skills in both official languages, and strong analytical abilities, along with demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Simply Accounting; are a requirement. The candidate must be self-motivated and able to work with a small team of professionals, in a proactive, ever changing port environment.
