Responsibilities include:
  • Gaining global market share through providing sales support (technical, marketing, management, etc.) to existing distributors as well as building new relationships to meet export sales targets
  • Negotiating agreements with potential distributors to ensure we maximize distributor performance
  • Attending trade shows and industry functions to support growth through the distribution network
  • Working with distributors on tender opportunities as required and determine the appropriate win strategy including considering whether the customer could be best served directly or through the distributor network
  • Developing, owning and managing the export pipeline of opportunities (sales funnel)
  • Promoting high value products to ensure optimal profitability
  • Working with internal/external resources as required to grow and develop a healthy pipeline of opportunities
  • Aligning marketing initiatives to optimize sales performance
  • Maintaining an updated & current forecast of volume, margin and revenues based on the pipeline
  • Setting prices for services and conducting margin analysis
  • Defining what is included/excluded
  • Defining standard terms & conditions of services
  • Developing the business case for new opportunities
  • International travel is required

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent sales experience
  • Experience in export sales would be considered an asset
  • Superior customer service skills
  • Effective collaborator and team player
  • Ability to learn new skills quickly and follow procedures accurately
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications
  • High attention to detail with excellent time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced working environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to understand the clients' needs and interact with the vendors and the senior management personnel
  • Self-starter, outgoing personality with exceptional selling and negotiating skills to achieve the sales targets ultimately
  • Ability to research and analyze the trends in the market and take appropriate decisions or suggest recommendations
  • Proficient in language, where the products are being marketed
  • Strong presentation skills, positive attitude and ability to work in a target driven environment
  • Should be result oriented with good business acumen, computer literate with excellent time management and organization skills
  • Ability to travel internationally
