In 1976, Atlantic Lottery was established by the four Atlantic provincial governments on behalf of all Atlantic Canadians. Its main shareholders are the New Brunswick Lotteries and Gaming Corporation; Nova Scotia Gaming Corporation; Prince Edward Island Lotteries Commission; and the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Atlantic Lottery's role is to manage gaming activities in a fun, profitable and socially responsible manner. Headquartered in Moncton, New Brunswick, Atlantic Lottery's mandate is to provide government regulated and responsible products for those Atlantic Canadians who choose to game and, through that effort, deliver 100% of lottery profits to the four provincial shareholders in Atlantic Canada.
The Vice President, Finance & Corporate Services (F&CS) is a member of the Executive management team reporting to the Chief Finance Office and will have critical oversight of various functions central to the competitive repositioning of Atlantic Lottery. The Vice President, F&CS will share responsibility for delivering on AL's financial and operational objectives through responsible, innovative, and sustainable practices while supporting and mentoring the F&CS team in the daily operations and accountabilities of the department. Working in collaboration with your colleagues on the Executive team, you will help construct and implement an enterprise strategy which supports the Board of Directors' vision for the sustainable growth and development of Atlantic Lottery.
The ideal candidate has a professional accounting designation (CPA) and a post-secondary degree, combined with a minimum of eight (8) years of senior leadership experience within a fast-paced consumer services organization. You have a successful track record in managing the leadership, development, execution and monitoring of financial and corporate services, as well as a reputation for being a trusted business advisor who fosters strategic organizational growth and development. You have the ability to communicate technical financial analytics in a clear and concise manner and you are comfortable and effective working both at a strategic and a tactical level. You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and you can build seamless working relationships with leaders across the organization in order to provide a current and accurate perspective to your colleagues on the Executive leadership team. A team player who is fair-minded, flexible and motivating in your approach to leadership, you will mentor and coach the F&CS team to consistently deliver at their highest potential and ensure all accountabilities and priorities are achieved.
