The Position: We are currently seeking engaged, energetic people to provide prompt & courteous, efficient customer service with internal/external customers while complying with ANBL's obligations under the NB Official Languages Act. This person will perform semi-skilled and skilled work in receiving and verifying incoming shipments from suppliers and assemble shipments for Stores, Agents and other designated ANBL locations. Work includes responsibility for inventory control, various administrative functions, general cleaning and maintenance of warehouse environment, and adherence to all procedures, policies, guidelines and government regulations and acts.

Specific accountabilities of the position may include: participating in receiving products and assembling outgoing orders; ensuring product data integrity; lifting light to heavy weight as required; loading and unloading trailers and completing reports; sorting and shipping miscellaneous non-alcoholic materials; reporting and cleaning of breakage, counting and rotating stock; and refilling of pick locations. Also included in the job are the operation of palletizing equipment as required in moving warehouse stock, and stocking pallets both at ground floor level and on “high reach” equipment up to heights of 12 feet +/-, using handheld scanners for processing work, utilizing voice technology, and performing routine preventative maintenance and checks to equipment. Participation in daily exercise program and staff meetings is required.

Duties are to be performed with independence, initiative and judgment within the framework of established policies and procedures. This work also involves the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with fellow employees. You shall be required to work on Fridays, weekends and Holidays when requested by the employer.

The Requirements:

  • Grade 12 education or GED.
  • Possession of a valid license appropriate to the vehicle being operated as issued by the Motor Vehicle Division of the Department of Transportation.
  • Must have ability to deal accurately with numerical and alphabetical detail.
  • Written and spoken competence in English is required.

Candidates selected to compete for this position will be subject to a competency based selection process and will be required to complete various selection assessments to a standard acceptable to ANBL.

This position is highly physical. The successful candidate must have the ability to perform all physical aspects of the position and must sign off on the following physical ability needs:

  1. Repetitive shoulder movements
  2. Repetitive bending and lifting
  3. Lifting items in excess of 20 lbs (box of paper)
  4. Overhead reaching
  5. No sensitivity to chemicals
  6. No environmental allergies (unless controlled)

Salary: Alcool NB Liquor offers a competitive hourly rate, challenging and rewarding work environment and excellent growth opportunities $17.07 per hour all inclusive rate that includes 4% vacation pay and 4% paid public holiday pay.
