WorkSafeNB is a Crown corporation committed to promoting healthy and safe workplaces for New Brunswick's workers and employers. While the priority is preventing workplace injuries and occupational disease, WorkSafeNB provides comprehensive rehabilitation and return to work services, and fair compensation benefits when these do occur. We are seeking a new General Counsel and Corporate Secretary to join the executive team and provide the guidance, leadership, and sound legal advice necessary to maintain WorkSafeNB's culture of excellence and caring.

As an experienced and dynamic legal professional, the successful candidate will have a strong background in Administrative law, Civil law, Corporate law and corporate governance. With a deep and diverse law background and a client centered mentality, this person will have a strong desire to make New Brunswick a better place to work and ultimately live.
As the main legal advisor for the organization, you will promote high quality performance by providing services through continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and programs. You will be relied upon to use your strong legal knowledge, business acumen, and experience in a multi-stakeholder public service environment to provide sound, practical legal counsel to the Board of Directors, President and Chief Executive Officer and senior management. Whether you are General Counsel to a private or public enterprise or in a law firm and looking to make a change, this could be the role for you.
