Carpenter/Framer - Experienced and Junior Positions

The Company Sunvalley Constructions is an established and successful construction company which specializing in residential custom builds. The Role We are experiencing fast growth and are searching for a junior and experienced carpenter/framer to join our team! Sunvalley Constructions values dedication, a positive attitude and attention to detail in our employees and we are looking for new team members who value the same. Applicants must have a valid driver's licence and their own hand tools. A zoom-boom is on site. In this role, you will be expected to have a working knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in carpentry and framing. Your responsibilities will include the following; • Install foundations and floor beams, lay subfloors, build and install walls, install trusses and roof sheathing • Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saws. • Understand how to read blueprints, sketches, or building plans • Understand customer expectations • Undertake finishing tasks including window installation. • Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment. • Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground levels. • Moves necessary materials around jobsite as assigned. • Clean up worksite debris. The Successful Applicant To be successful in these roles, you are be a team player with strong communication skills, detail orientated, reliable, dedicated to safety all times and fit to undertake physically demanding tasks. The ideal experienced candidate should have a minimum of two years experience. The junior candidate must have a strong work ethic, an interest in carpentry and building and a desire to learn.
