The Aquino Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team at Volkswagen North Bay. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative marketing strategies to promote our dealerships and engage with our target audience. This role requires a deep understanding of the automotive industry, as well as expertise in social media management, content creation, event planning and execution as well as digital marketing.
As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to promote our dealership, attract potential customers, and increase sales. Your expertise in automotive marketing combined with your creativity and strategic thinking will play a crucial role in driving our business growth and enhancing our brand image.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning & Brand Management
- Develop and manage a group-wide marketing strategy that aligns with each store's sales and service objectives.
- Customize marketing plans for individual rooftops while maintaining consistent group identity and compliance with OEM guidelines.
- Manage the overall marketing budget across locations, ensuring cost-effective allocation and tracking ROI.
- Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities, competitive positioning, and brand awareness initiatives.
2. Digital Marketing Leadership
- Oversee all digital advertising campaigns across Google, Meta, YouTube, and other platforms to drive leads and conversions.
- Manage the group's websites, ensuring accuracy of inventory, SEO optimization, and user experience.
- Lead email marketing, remarketing, and video campaigns to engage customers through the ownership cycle.
- Ensure alignment of digital strategies with CRM systems and BDC operations for lead follow-up efficiency
3. Traditional & Community Marketing
- Plan and coordinate group-wide promotions, sponsorships, community events, and brand activations.
- Oversee traditional advertising (radio, print, outdoor, etc.) with consistent messaging across rooftops.
- Manage production of creative materials including signage, photography, and video content.
- Build partnerships with local organizations and community groups to enhance brand visibility.
4. Data, Analytics & Reporting
- Create and present monthly marketing performance reports by rooftop and department (Sales, Service, F&I).
- Track and evaluate key performance indicators such as cost per lead, marketing ROI, website traffic, and conversion rates.
- Provide actionable insights to senior leadership based on campaign data and market performance.
- Audit vendor performance regularly to ensure accountability and value delivery.
5. Collaboration & Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a small internal marketing team or coordinate across dealerships' marketing contacts.
- Work closely with General Managers, Sales Managers, and Service Directors to support departmental goals.
- Serve as the main point of contact for OEM marketing programs, ensuring compliance and co-op reimbursement accuracy.
- Liaise with digital vendors, advertising agencies, and media partners to ensure consistent execution and quality control.
6. Radio Advertising
- Planning and Coordination
- Begin planning the radio ad at least two weeks before the start of the upcoming month.
Provide the appropriate representatives with detailed information about the upcoming promo, selected vehicle focus, and creative direction.
7. Website Monitoring and Management
- Ensure websites are consistently updated with pricing and photos
- Ensure current OEM promotions are active and accurate
- Strategize with web providers to ensure optimal performance
Requirements:
1. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
2. Proven work experience as a Marketing and Social Media Manager or a similar role within the automotive industry.
3. Deep understanding of social media platforms and their respective best practices, as well as experience in managing social media accounts.
4. Strong knowledge of digital marketing strategies, including SEM, SEO, email marketing, and content marketing.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content and engage with customers effectively.
6. Proficient in using analytics tools to measure and track the performance of marketing campaigns.
7. Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and visual aesthetics.
8. Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Passion for the automotive industry and staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
11. Proficient with video editing software, camera use for filming and other content creation tools.
