Position Overview
Brockmanns Chocolate is seeking an experienced and hands-onMaintenance Managerto lead our maintenance team at our Delta, BC facility.   • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain chocolate production equipment such as melters, tempering machines, enrobers, conveyors, cooling tunnels, and packaging systems.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive Preventative Maintenance (PM) program tailored to chocolate manufacturing equipment
  • Analyze equipment history and performance data to define maintenance frequencies and tasks.
  • Create, prioritize, assign, and track work orders using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or similar platform.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain an organized database of equipment manuals, schematics, technical drawings, and supplier contacts.
  • Analyze recurring equipment issues to identify and implement long-term solutions.
  • Participate in root cause investigations and cross-functional improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure maintenance activities meet industry standards, food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, FSMA), and internal QA policies.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, vendors, and service contractors.
  • Oversee building and utility systems including HVAC, electrical, water, refrigeration, and compressed air.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and continuous improvement of new equipment and processes.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in food or beverage manufacturing (chocolate or confectionery experience is an asset).
  • 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with food-grade production systems including refrigeration, pumps, and water-jacketed equipment.
  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
  • Flexibility to respond to plant needs in a dynamic, multi-shift environment.
