Campus Security Guard (OFA2) - Abbotsford

Securiguard is hiring a dedicated and professional Patrol Officer to join our team at a prestigious university campus. As a key member of the campus security program, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position is ideal for individuals who take pride in community safety, customer service, and proactive security work.

Location: Abbotsford, BC

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine foot and mobile patrols throughout campus buildings, facilities, and parking lots.
• Respond to alarms, security incidents, and emergency situations, including medical emergencies.
• Provide first aid and basic medical assistance (OFA Level 2 required); request emergency services when needed.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
• Enforce university policies, access control procedures, and campus safety guidelines.
• Document and submit accurate incident reports and daily activity notes.
• Support special events, functions, and additional campus security assignments as required.

Qualifications

• Occupational First Aid Level 2 (OFA 2) - Required.
• Previous security or law enforcement experience is an asset.
• Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to conduct foot patrols for extended periods across large campus areas.
• Ability to respond swiftly to incidents and provide assistance during emergencies.
