The Opportunity
Portland Tractor Inc. is looking for a motivated Sales Representative to join our team in Langley, BC. As the Sales Representative, you will collaborate with a dynamic Sales team to support its growing customer base. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn industry-leading sales techniques and gain in-depth product knowledge.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As the Sales Representative your key responsibilities will include:
- Identify new business through prospecting and cold calling
- Manage inbound customer leads and maintain existing customer relationships
- Determine customer needs, educate customers, and provide solutions
- Support customers throughout the sales cycle, providing excellent customer service
- Collaborate with various internal departments to enrich customer relationships
- Visit key customers and prospects in your territory
- Acquire product knowledge on all construction and mining equipment and parts
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
- 1 to 3 years of prior experience in B2B sales strongly preferred
- Construction or material handling industry knowledge considered an asset
- Post-secondary education in Sales, Business Management, or a related discipline
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel
- A customer-oriented mindset and a genuine interest in identifying and presenting innovative solutions to customers
- Excellent organizational skills and planning skills
- Maintaining a valid driver's license is required; ability to travel within the region required

The base pay range for this role is: $45,000 per year plus uncapped commission.
This is an onsite role based in Langley, BC.
