Position Overview:

We're looking for a Contract Recruiter to support our technical hiring efforts on a 6-month full-time contract. In this role, you will drive the full-cycle recruiting process for engineering and technical roles, helping us identify, engage, and hire top-tier talent.

This position has the potential to convert into a full-time role based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand job role requirements, team goals, and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Drive end-to-end recruitment for software engineering, data science, DevOps, and other positions.
  • Source active and passive candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, and other channels.
  • Conduct initial screening calls to assess candidates' technical skills, experience, and culture fit.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews, gather feedback, and guide hiring teams through the process.
  • Manage candidate communications and ensure a positive candidate experience from first touch to offer.
  • Maintain data integrity in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and generate recruitment reports as needed.
  • Support employer branding efforts as necessary during the contract period.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of recruiting experience, ideally in tech or a high-growth environment
  • Strong understanding of technical roles and the software development lifecycle
  • Hands-on experience with sourcing tools and ATS platforms (e.g. Workable)
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to commit to a 6-month full-time contract

  • Experience hiring across time zones or globally
  • Familiarity with Canadian and/or U.S. hiring regulations
  • Background in scaling early-stage or startup engineering teams

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate or monthly retainer, commensurate with experience.
