Role Overview:
You will interface with clients as well as the legal team on a daily basis.
This is a full-time, in-office position located in Vaughan; however, hybrid arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.
Position, Duties and Responsibilities
As a Law Clerk, you will be responsible for a broad range of tasks. While not exhaustive, your duties may include:
Coordinating the client-lawyer relationship from initial contact to final delivery to ensure high-quality legal services;
Working directly with clients and lawyers to prepare draft and final documents using digital tools or precedents;
Completing the intake process, including initial screening and acting as a point of contact throughout transactions;
Performing conflict checks and collecting client identification and intake documentation in compliance with LSO standards;
Creating and maintaining client files both digitally and physically;
Drafting and sending retainer agreements and reporting letters;
Preparing 9A and 9B forms for wire transfers related to corporate, commercial, or real estate transactions;
Managing real estate files (residential and commercial), including sales and bank financings of commercial, retail, industrial, and multi-residential properties;
Drafting and organizing documents required for closing, such as status reports, agreements, leases, and instruments for registration;
Handling commercial and residential purchases, sales, and financing;
Coordinating closings and organizing transaction files;
Conducting and reviewing title searches and managing requisitions;
Registering documentation using Teraview, Conveyancer, and other firm systems;
Problem-solving independently with minimal supervision;
Participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and team meetings;
Communicating professionally with lawyers, colleagues, and clients;
Performing administrative tasks such as managing invoices, document filing, and arranging couriers;
Undertaking general duties typical for a clerk at a midsize firm;
Any other tasks as assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
Minimum of 4 years of experience specifically in Commercial and Residential Real Estate is required.

Compensation:
$60,000.00-$80,000.00 annually (based on experience)
