About the Role
Reporting to senior leadership, the Manager will oversee payroll review and quality assurance processes across multiple systems. This role requires strong hands-on experience in cloud-based payroll platforms and a deep understanding of payroll compliance and client service delivery in a managed services setting.
What You'll Do
- Lead and review payroll processing activities to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance
- Oversee outputs from a variety of platforms, ensuring they align with client expectations and local legislation
- Act as an escalation point for client inquiries, offering expert guidance and issue resolution
- Ensure internal controls are followed and that all payroll data is secure and accurate
- Support occasional hands-on processing during high-volume periods or staff absences
- Collaborate with advisory and implementation teams on system optimization, audits, and onboarding new clients
- Stay current with payroll legislation and ensure compliance across jurisdictions
- Payroll compliance designation (e.g., PCP or equivalent)
- 5–10 years of experience in payroll review or processing, ideally within a managed services or outsourcing environment
- Advanced knowledge of at least one leading cloud-based payroll platform such as Dayforce, Oracle, Workday, SAP, ADP and QuickBooks.
- Strong understanding of Canadian payroll legislation; international exposure is an asset
- Analytical mindset and comfort troubleshooting technical payroll issues
- Strong communication and client management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel
- Bilingualism in English and French is a plus
