The Opportunity

Estimator

We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Estimator to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, youll be responsible for preparing accurate, specification-compliant quotations that meet both customer requirements and our profitability objectives. Youll play a vital part in bridging customer needs with internal capabilities, using your technical know-how to shape high-quality proposals and drive strategic business outcomes.

This is a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and procurement teams, while directly impacting project success and customer satisfaction.

What Were Looking For

We're seeking a dynamic individual who brings a combination of technical acumen, customer focus, and commercial awareness. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A diploma, degree, or relevant training in Mechanical, Automotive, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Proven knowledge of sheet metal and structural steel manufacturing
  • Strong blueprint reading and technical specification skills
  • A natural ability to analyze, plan, and problem-solve
  • Experience using Autodesk Inventor or similar CAD software
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with customers, vendors, and internal teams
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently

What Youll Be Doing

  • Prepare accurate and timely quotes based on customer specs and technical documents
  • Collaborate with internal teams to validate costs and feasibility
  • Apply your expertise in cutting, forming, welding, and fabrication processes to ensure quote accuracy
  • Engage directly with customers and vendors to clarify requirements and negotiate terms
  • Keep ERP systems and quote records up to date
  • Identify opportunities to reduce cost and improve quality
  • Stay informed on material pricing, market trends, and industry innovations
  • Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Contribute to a strong team environment with ethics, accountability, and integrity
