Hiring Requirements:
The Vacation Relief Logistics Coordinator will be a team member in the daily operation of our logistics network in western Ontario, for Bimbo Canada, a part of Grupo Bimbo, the largest baking company in the world. They will be responsible for ensuring the proper execution of all shipments. They will act as warehouse customer service & will coordinate other areas of the business (Plant, Sales, Transportation, etc.) & the warehouse operation. The associate must meet Bimbo Canada standards in quality, GMP's, safety, security and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive, Process and stage inbound/outbound shipments
  • Cover vacations in the region at our St. Catherine's, Ancaster, Cambridge and London warehouses.
  • Assign drivers to dock doors and communicate with warehouse staff on load & pick priority
  • Corresponds and communicates with customers/carriers over the phone and email.
  • Follow shipping requirements for customer specific loads
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure that all assigned tasks processes standards are met
  • Interface with broader Supply Chain Team
  • Coordinate with the bakeries and logistics team on all shipping inaccuracies
  • Responsible for master sanitation schedule of the warehouse
  • Completing audit complaint tasks on a regular basis
  • Perform other duties and tasks as directed
Experience & Education:
  • High school diploma
  • 2 years' experience in warehouse environment
  • Working knowledge of Oracle/WMS preferred.
  • Experience with Windows Excel, Word, and Outlook programs.
  • Lean or Six Sigma Experience Preferred
  • Mature and conscientious attitude.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Strong leadership & organization skills
  • MS Excel and Outlook experience.
  • Forklift license.
  • Basic Math skills.
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to work with other departments.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including some mandatory weekends and overtime.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in the English language.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job
