Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Associate to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Global Tax Compliance Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Global Tax Compliance: Ensure direct and indirect tax compliance across all jurisdictions, including but not limited to Ireland, UK, Cyprus, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, etc. with a key focus on taxation in North America region. Review income tax computation and income tax returns prepared by outsourced tax advisors and ensure for timely and accurate filings. Prepare VAT/GST returns and ensure for timely and accurate filings.
  • Transfer Pricing: Assist with the documentation of the transfer pricing policies. Ensure compliance with OECD and local regulations and coordinate with external TP advisors. Ensure correct application of the TP arrangements by internal departments.
  • Tax provisions and tax notes on Financial Statements: Prepare monthly income tax provisions and deferred tax calculations ensuring timely payment of tax instalments. Prepare tax provisions and draft the tax notes on the financial statements.
  • Tax strategy and policies: Support with the global tax strategies and identify opportunities for tax savings and structuring efficiencies.
  • International taxation concepts: Knowledge and previous practical experience on international concepts and reports such as country-by-country reporting, OECD Pillar II of global minimum taxation and global tax developments.
  • FATCA&CRS reporting: Support compliance with completion of relevant FATCA/CRS forms and have a general understanding on the FATCA/CRS classifications and deadlines.
  • Stakeholders management: Liaise with external advisors, auditors and internal departments as needed to ensure the company's tax compliance status is maintained.
  • Deadline management: Ability to manage and meet strict deadlines.
  • Teamwork: Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
Qualifications
  • Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent tax qualification.
  • International tax experience in compliance and planning, preferably in the fund administration industry or in Big4.
