Job Summary:

SolidWorks Expert will play a key role in designing 3D models, assemblies, and product prototypes using SolidWorks software. This role requires a deep understanding of SolidWorks, mechanical design principles, and a strong ability to transform conceptual ideas into detailed, manufacturable designs. The ideal candidate will have advanced experience in using SolidWorks for product design, engineering analysis, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, modify, and optimize 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks
  • Design mechanical components, assemblies, and systems that meet project specifications and quality standards
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and product teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability
  • Perform design calculations and simulations (e.g., stress, thermal, motion) to ensure design integrity
  • Develop product specifications, detailed drawings, and documentation for production
  • Assist with the preparation of prototypes and coordinate testing and validation of designs
  • Analyze and resolve design issues, proposing innovative solutions
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and best practices
  • Stay current with SolidWorks updates, tools, and design trends

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience using SolidWorks for product design and development
  • Proficient in creating detailed 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings
  • Solid understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals
  • Experience with simulation tools (e.g., FEA, motion analysis) within SolidWorks
  • Ability to troubleshoot design problems and develop effective solutions
  • Strong attention to detail and high-level accuracy in design
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SolidWorks Certification (e.g., CSWP or CSWE)
  • Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools and other design software
  • Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards
  • Familiarity with CAD CAM systems and integration with CNC machining

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
