Salary Range: $85,659 to (midpoint is $107,073) $123, 134

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.

Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.

The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Manager -Capital Projects to oversee and manage several large and small capital development projects from initiation through to completion. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors to deliver projects according to plan. You will become an integral part of the various projects being worked on including new builds, renovations and re-fitting projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives.
  • Develop & monitor detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Developing estimates, identifying cost breakdowns, clarifications & job scope details.
  • Robust tracking of estimates, budgets and payments
  • Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for flawless execution.
  • Monitor and track project progress using appropriate tools.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Ensuring projects are in compliance with safety plans & regulations.
  • Communicate with stakeholders clearly on progress, issues, and changes.
  • Manage and maintain oversight on applications for permits and City approvals
  • Leading a strong effective team that recognizes the vision of our company.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Construction related field, Business or Management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in project management within the construction or property development environment (3+ years preferred).
  • WHMIS Certification
  • Ministry of Justice Criminal Record Clearance
  • Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience of dealing with Municipal and First Nations stakeholders as well as funders would be an advantage.
  • Experience of dealing with mixed use projects, relocation and redevelopment projects would be an asset.
  • Proficiency in project management tools
