Job DescriptionAs an Environmental Technical Professional at FLINT, you'll leverage 8+ years of experience in the upstream, mid-stream, and downstream oil and gas sectors, providing technical expertise on environmental assessments, compliance, and risk management.
** This role can be located anywhere in Western Canada **
What would you be doing?
- Compile and review drill plans, risk maps, and conduct Tier 1 & Tier 2 assessments, Site-Specific Risk Assessments, Subsoil Salinity Tool (SST) assessments, and directive PNG045 assessments.
- Author, peer review, and senior review assessment and remediation reports, including Phase 1 and 2 Environmental Site Assessments, data gap analysis, and supplemental environmental assessments.
- Collaborate with project teams, field employees, and senior advisors to scope projects, provide technical support, and communicate findings with clients.
- Provide direction to report writers, drafters, and field employees while supporting site remediation using various remedial technologies.
- Ensure timely completion of claims, invoices, and documentation while adhering to business and regulatory requirements.

University degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field, with eligibility or current professional designation (P.Ag., P.Biol., P.Chem., P.Eng., or P.Geo.), SST certification, and 8+ years of relevant environmental consulting experience.
Strong knowledge of Alberta Tier 1 and 2 Soil and Groundwater Remediation Guidelines, Saskatchewan Environmental Quality Guidelines, PNG045 Directive and including supporting technical protocols.
Experience with Tier 2 Assessments, Site-Specific Risk Assessments, and Subsoil Salinity Tool (SST) Assessments, and expertise in environmental regulations (CCME, Alberta Tier 1 and 2, PNG045, etc.).
Proven ability to manage multiple projects in deadline-driven environments, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing priorities.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a track record of building strong relationships and collaborating effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Proactive problem-solving skills, initiative-taking, and a strong focus on health and safety.
