Our client is a well-established Vancouver law firm offering a full range of business, litigation, and dispute resolution services to clients across Canada and internationally. The firm combines the sophistication of a large practice with the collegiality and close-knit culture of a smaller team.

The Opportunity
Our client is currently seeking a skilled Legal Administrative Assistant to support their Labour and Employment practice group. The successful candidate will have strong legal administrative experience, excellent organizational abilities, and the confidence to manage a busy and fast-paced workload both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and transcribe legal documents and correspondence
  • Schedule court appearances, mediations, discoveries, and client meetings
  • Organize and maintain physical and electronic legal files, including binder updates and document filing
  • Manage bring-forward systems and provide proactive reminders
  • Coordinate with billing staff for the monthly production of client accounts
  • Maintain open and closed files according to firm procedures
  • Provide general administrative support to lawyers and team members
  • Other related duties as required

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a recognized Legal Administrative Assistant program or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant, preferably in Labour and Employment law
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook; experience with Elite 3E is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures
  • Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize deadlines, and work effectively under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional discretion and a commitment to client confidentiality

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $60,000 to $75,000, commensurate with experience
