Role Summary:Build custom millwork projects—such as range hoods, mantles, and columns—with craftsmanship and precision, using materials pre-selected and delivered via the ERP system. Use ERP-generated work orders and pick notifications to begin fabrication immediately.
Key Responsibilities:ERP-Based Materials Handling:
  • Use ERP work orders to access BOMs and operation routings.
  • Receive pre-staged materials—hardwoods, laminates, hardware—delivered to your station automatically based on ERP integration.
Interpretation & Planning:
  • Read and interpret plans and client requirements to determine materials and construction method.
  • Verify ERP-preselected components match project specs, sourcing replacements if needed.
Custom Fabrication:
  • Fabricate unique items (range hoods, columns, mantles) with hand & power tools—table saws, routers, jointers, mortisers—using advanced joinery methods (e.g., dovetail, mortise and tenon).
  • Assemble and dry-fit pieces, reinforce joints, and prepare components for finishing.
Assembly & Finishing Prep:
  • Apply veneers, plane, sand, and fill joints for a flawless surface ready for finish.
Quality Control:
  • Continuously inspect assemblies to meet tight tolerances and structural integrity standards.
  • Rework or adjust pieces until they satisfy high-end craftsmanship requirements.
Collaboration & Mentoring:
  • Coordinate closely with design, finishing, and installation teams to ensure seamless production.
  • Mentor apprentices and coworkers in shop practices and accurate ERP documentation.
Safety & Housekeeping
  • Maintain safe and organized work area, adhering to 5S and lean standards.
  • Follow safe machine operation practices and PPE protocols.

Qualifications:
  • Certification: Red Seal or equivalent in Cabinet Making/Joinery.
  • Experience: 5+ years in custom woodworking or millwork, including fabrication of custom components.
  • ERP Skills: Comfortable using ERP systems that manage BOMs, material staging, shop-floor transaction entry.
  • Technical Abilities: Proficient with woodworking machinery and precise joinery techniques.
  • Measurement & Math: Excellent at dimensional accuracy and calculations.
  • Physical Endurance: Able to lift and handle heavy materials for full shift durations.
  • Communication: Clear, organized, detail-oriented, able to work both independently and in a team setting.
Preferred Attributes:
  • Experience with veneering, curved work, or custom architectural millwork.
  • Familiarity with CNC or automated shop-floor integration.
Hours of Work:
  • Standard workweek is Monday to Friday, 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM.
  • On-site role.
