ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT:
The HR Functional Lead provides leadership for the functional implementation of HR Modules, guiding team members and the organization through implementation with an agile and innovative mindset. Responsible for the overall effective delivery of activities within the HR function implementation. The HR Functional Lead will ensure the successful integration of HR processes within the ERP system and supporting HR staff in their transition to the new system.
MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee ERP customization to align with HR functions (employee data, payroll, benefits, performance, recruitment, talent management).
  • Develop HR-specific test cases to ensure accurate process integration.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on HR-related development and system enhancements.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on HR configurations and customizations.
  • Audit existing HR data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness (e.g., job titles, departments).
  • Eliminate duplicate records and ensure unique identifiers for all employees.
  • Standardize data formats (e.g., dates, titles, addresses) across the system.
  • Remove outdated or non-compliant data in line with privacy regulations.
  • Map and transform data from legacy systems to the new ERP structure.
  • Ensure secure handling of sensitive HR data, including anonymization and encryption.
  • Back up legacy HR data and archive non-migrated historical records.
  • Run integrity checks to identify and resolve data anomalies.
  • Define data ownership and access controls to protect sensitive HR information.
  • Develop a comprehensive data migration strategy, including testing and rollback plans.
  • Test migration accuracy and validate data integrity post-transfer.
  • Lead HR-specific testing phases (unit, integration, user acceptance testing) to ensure functionality.
  • Resolve HR-related issues and defects identified during testing.
  • Monitor ongoing HR processes in the ERP system and address emerging issues.
  • Create tailored training materials and user guides for HR staff.
  • Conduct training sessions and provide hands-on support during implementation.
  • Manage change by addressing resistance and supporting user adaptation.
  • Gather feedback and adjust training/support strategies accordingly.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes within the ERP system.
  • Ensure compliance with HR regulations and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Establish reporting tools to track HR metrics and KPIs.
  • Continue gathering feedback to refine processes and enhance user experience.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Degree in Organizational Development, Business Administration or Human Resources.
  • CHRP or CHRL designation is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of Human Resources experience within a unionized environment.
  • Demonstrated involvement in service delivery modernization initiatives.
  • ERP Software Implementation experience preferred
  • Proven ability to lead collaboratively and creatively in a dynamic, solution-focused environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and coaching skills, with the ability to actively listen and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Sound knowledge of human resources theory, best practices and relevant employment legislation.
  • Self-driven and solution-oriented, with a strong ability to partner with leadership to design and implement organizational programs.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, complemented by strong analytical thinking.
  • Skilled in delivering presentations and facilitating discussions tailored to diverse audiences, with an adaptable and effective communication style.
  • Strong diagnostic skills in identifying training needs and recommending targeted solutions for teams and individuals
  • Solid understanding of organizational structures, operational processes, and functional requirements.
  • Agile, innovative, and adaptable to fast-paced, evolving environments.
