We're looking for Wealth Protection Specialist to support our Wealth Strategies team!
Reporting to the Regional Vice President - Wealth, your primary focus is to ensure that our members wealth is protected through the personalized insurance planning. You are the expert in your field and our members rely on you to recommend the best insurance solutions. The wealth protection process that you use strategically identifies the opportunities to engage business partners to create a balanced, reimagined financial plan for our members.
More specifically, the scope of your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Actively create and maintain member relationships
- Maintain latest financial planning and insurance industry knowledge
- Develop internal referral sources where they recognize you are an expert in the field of wealth protection and delivery of solutions to support a balance of financial, estate and business succession planning.
- Actively provide peer coaching and mentoring
- Demonstrate leadership in branches, business banking centers, the market, and the communities
- As part of a team, deliver advanced insurance planning solutions in both Personal/High Net Worth and corporate scenarios.
Requirements
To qualify, you'll need at least the following:
- 5 + years' experience in the wealth industry, specifically in an insurance and/or financial planning role with a proven track record of success
- A CFP designation is a requirement for this role; however, Servus will consider those individuals who are actively pursuing the designation
- The ability to be Insurance licensed (Life and A&S) in the Province of Alberta/Saskatchewan/BC. Insurance license is current and in good standing .
- Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation and/or equivalent work experience is required
- Thorough knowledge of financial planning, products, procedures, and regulations
- Adept in providing detailed and accurate information to third parties with the ability to collect, analyze and interpret the needs of members and offer appropriate solutions
- Experience with life, disability and living benefits insurance sales to meet both corporate and personal needs
- Proven ability to complete Advanced Insurance Planning resulting in the implementation of Permanent Insurance solutions to augment and meet complex member needs such as Business Succession, Estate Preservation/Enhancement, Legacy, Tax Efficiency, etc.
- Experience with business plan development
Although not required, the following experience and education/certifications are valuable assets:
- Post-secondary education/college diploma or university degree is considered an asset
- Industry Training – ongoing training or certificates within the financial industry are an asset
Knowledge and comfort with:
- Financial Planning software
- Insurance company illustration software
- Life Design Analysis
