About the Job
This is a permanent position that offers a dynamic work environment with the potential for 40 to 60 hours per week. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials while ensuring the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using GPS and other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- Provide exceptional customer service while loading and unloading goods.
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- Inspect vehicle conditions, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage equipment.
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of the vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with central dispatch and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Transport and handle dangerous goods safely.
