This is a permanent position that offers a full-time work schedule of 40 to 50 hours per week. As an HVAC Mechanic, you will be responsible for:
- Installing and overhauling heating systems
- Installing ventilation, air handling, and air conditioning systems
- Measuring and laying out reference points for installation
- Preparing tenders and quotations
- Reading blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements
- Troubleshooting heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems
- Assembling and installing refrigeration or air conditioning components
- Coaching and instructing apprentices
- Measuring, cutting, and connecting piping using welding and brazing equipment
- Providing outstanding customer service
- Starting up systems and testing for leaks using testing devices
- Performing maintenance such as recharging systems with refrigerant and checking regulators
- Handling, recovering, and storing refrigerants
- Repairing and replacing parts and components for entire HVAC systems
Requirements
