About the Job

As an Aquaculture Worker, you will be an integral part of our operations, working directly with our mussel stocks and contributing to the overall health and productivity of our aquaculture sites. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced environment and are eager to learn.

What You’ll Do

• Feed aquaculture stock to ensure optimal growth
• Cull, mark, or tag aquaculture stocks for identification
• Clean and maintain aquaculture enclosures to promote a healthy environment
• Transfer stock to tanks in trucks and pack stock in special containers
• Rake and gather marine plants for processing
• Transport marine plants to processing facilities
• Dig shellfish from shellfish beds and prepare them for market
• Clean, sort, and pack shellfish for distribution
• Assist aquaculture technicians in the operation of fish hatcheries and aquatic farms
• Grade and weigh aquaculture stocks to ensure quality control
• Operate fishing vessels and fishing gear as needed

Work Environment

You will be working in a variety of settings, including:

• Outdoors, in/on water
• Wet/damp conditions
• Cold/refrigerated environments
• At mussel sites (land/barge)

Physical Requirements

This role is physically demanding and requires:

• Ability to handle heavy loads (up to 23 kg / 50 lbs)
