This role will be based out of either Delta or Downtown Vancouver, BC and reports to the Head of FP&A Operations. While preference will be given to candidates located within the Greater Vancouver area, we are open to considering exceptional remote candidates located elsewhere in Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor and business partner, providing clear financial insights, decision support, and strategic recommendations that improve outcomes
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) that link operational performance to financial results, helping teams understand business drivers and trends
- Lead monthly forecasting and variance analysis processes, explaining performance drivers and identifying risks and opportunities
- Support the development and coordination of the annual budgeting and long-range planning processes
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline financial and business processes, enhance reporting accuracy and improve efficiency
- Contribute to the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process as needed, providing financial context and analysis to support demand and supply planning
- Provide ad-hoc financial support, leading special projects to support strategic initiatives and business requirements as required
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or equivalent working experience (CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred)
- Minimum 5 years experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or related analysis role
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights and clear business narratives
- Highly skilled Excel user, developing scenario analysis and financial modelling
- Strong analytical ability with attention to detail and strategic context
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to balance multiple deliverables
- Goal oriented and continuous improvement focused, proactive and comfortable working in dynamitic high-growth environments
- Proven track record of process improvement, automation, and optimization
- Highly collaborative and able to work effectively across different functions and levels of the business
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other relevant ERP systems
- Experience in agriculture, manufacturing, or CPG
- Experience building and maintaining dashboarding through Power BI or similar visualization tools
- Knowledge of Power Query for data transformation and automation
