We're seeking a skilled and motivated Line Cook to join our team. In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering consistent, high-quality dishes in a fast-paced, professional kitchen. If you're organized, passionate about food, and thrive during service, this is the role for you.
The Day to Day:
- Execute prep and service to the highest standard, following recipes and plating guidelines with precision and consistency
- Maintain an organized and efficient station before, during, and after service
- Practice FIFO (First In, First Out) to manage inventory and minimize waste
- Support daily prep, ensuring all mise en place is ready for service
- Communicate clearly with team members and chefs to ensure smooth, coordinated service
- Work clean—maintain a tidy station, assist in end-of-day cleaning, and follow all food safety and sanitation protocols
- Ensure proper labeling, dating, and storage of all food items
- Be proactive—identify prep needs, restock as needed, and take initiative during slower periods
- Assist in receiving and properly storing deliveries, ensuring quality and accuracy
- Uphold kitchen standards and work collaboratively in a respectful, team-driven environment
Qualifications
- 1-2 years cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant
- Culinary diploma/degree is an asset
- Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
- Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Able to spend 100% of the time standing
- Valid Food Handler Certified preferred
- Available weekends, evenings and holidays as needed
