Electrical & Instrumentation Tradesperson

JOB DESCRIPTION
Irving Paper is hiring for an Instrumentation (E&I) Tradesperson at the Irving Paper Mill in Saint John, New Brunswick. This position reports to the E&I Team Leader within the Maintenance Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As an E&I Tradesperson, you will perform all aspects of instrumentation maintenance and repairs at the Irving Paper, including:

• Instrument calibration, installation, and commissioning of instrumentation devices
• Valve repair and maintenance (including associated components and control devices)
• Troubleshooting, programming, to maintain and improve existing:
  • Honeywell Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
  • Rockwell Programmable Logic Control systems (PLC)
  • Mill process control systems
• Supporting continuous improvement through instrument tuning and system/program changes
• Participating in on-call coverage and shift work as required

QUALIFICATIONS

• Instrumentation Journeyperson License or an Industrial Controls Technology Diploma
• Industrial experience in a similar industry considered an asset
• Working knowledge of plant instrumentation, Honeywell Distributed Control Systems, and PLC systems
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Self-motivated with a strong personal drive
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills
