A well-established alternative investment firm is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented wholesaler in the Western region of Canada to join its growing team.

Are you an experienced and motivated sales professional with a passion for capital markets and alternative investments? A leading financial services firm is seeking an External Wholesaler to manage a designated territory and drive sales across a diverse range of investment solutions. This role requires a consultative approach, strong advisor relationships, and a deep understanding of the financial landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned territory to achieve sales goals through regular travel and in-person advisor engagement
  • Conduct relationship-driven, consultative sales meetings with IIROC and EMD investment advisers, as well as other licensed professionals
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans in collaboration with internal and external sales teams
  • Communicate fund objectives clearly, while discussing market outlooks and portfolio strategies
  • Identify advisor needs and introduce relevant cross-sell opportunities and innovative investment concepts
  • Analyze regional and product-level sales trends across broker/dealer networks and individual advisors
  • Collaborate with internal departments to deliver exceptional service to clients and partners
  • Maintain accurate and current records in CRM and other administrative tools to support business efficiency

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial services sales, ideally as an outside wholesaler
  • Strong knowledge of capital markets and investment vehicles, including mutual funds, alternative investments, private equity, hedge funds etc.
  • Proven sales skills including prospecting, needs analysis, listening, and closing
  • Established relationships within the advisory and dealer community
  • Driven, competitive, and goal-oriented with a high level of integrity and professionalism
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
