2022 Season Sales Associate

This role is responsible for helping the Saskatchewan Roughrider Football Club generate and drive the 109th Grey Cup Sales. Sales efforts will be focused on Grey Cup festival events, remaining Grey Cup tickets, 2023 renewals, 2022 home games and other events. This role will support the Ticket Operations team as needed.

Term Details:

This term role is perfect for those looking to gain unique experience in the Sports & Entertainment Industry and be part of ensuring the overwhelming success of the 109th Grey Cup. This is an introductory role, including specific training to learn the sports sales process from one of the top leading trainers in the industry and hands on experience to utilize your learnings by selling and servicing one of the top CFL teams and the most prestigious Canadian sports championship.

  • Term (approximately): August 1, 2022 – December 31, 2022

What you will learn:

  • How to create and build relationships with new Business to Customer (B2C) and Business to Business (B2B) prospects
  • How to generate and drive 2022 Grey Cup ticket and festival sales primarily in the consumer market
  • How to actively generate new B2C and B2B leads
  • How to prospect for new clients
  • How to retain current clients
  • How to upsell and cross sell events
  • How to maintain computerized records for clients and prospects

Requirements

  • Meet or exceed personal and team sales and revenue milestones
  • Work in conjunction with the entire Ticket Operations team to uphold the mandates of the department regarding sales and service goals and objectives
  • Assist with game day duties as required
  • Provide support during special events and promotions as required

Skills and experiences key to success in this role:

  • Sales background or customer service is an asset; however training and support will be provided.
  • Enrolled in or graduated with a post-secondary studies in business, administration, or sports management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Proven skill in juggling multiple priorities and attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to work alone and in a team.
  • Ability to work longer hours during the season, especially game days which are crucial for availability.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • General business knowledge with a basic understanding of Saskatchewan Roughrider products and services
  • A strong commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience
  • Willingness to be coached, with an appetite to learn and get better every day
  • Ability to work collaboratively, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
