SUMMARY:
The Sr. Analyst will support the supply chain organization by providing analytics solutions to complex business challenges by assisting in the design, building, and ongoing enhancement of reporting dashboards and tools used to help drive business results. The ideal candidate for this is self-motivated quick starter who is insightful and results oriented professional with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. The candidate should have expertise in connecting various data sources to unlock value, optimize processes and data models. 

 

This position can be located at any one of our three corporate offices: Toronto, ON ; Florenceville, NB or Oakbrook, IL.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure stability, scalability, and resiliency of BI Platforms including playing a key role in setting best practices and governance frameworks for existing and new builds.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI data models, reports, and dashboards to support supply chain business intelligence needs.
  • Determine and define data requirements collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders in NA region and the Global data team.
  • Develops a data verification process to ensure data is accurate, facilitate data quality standards, and work with Stakeholders to ensure standards are maintained.
  • Ensure design efficiency to minimize data refresh lags, optimize performance, and enable data as a service through reusable assets.
  • Identify supply chain relevant performance metrics and KPIs with functional leaders, apply innovative visualization techniques to develop interactive dashboards and enable advanced analytics.
  • Develop analytical solutions for data discovery and exploration leading to improvements across Supply Chain Functions.
  • Train and educate peers and users on data collection tools, BI platforms and effective reporting and visualization.

 

MINIMUM QUALITIFICATIONS:

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

 

Education

  • Advanced degree in STEM discipline: Computer Science, Information Technology, applied mathematics or related analytics field. 
  • Preferred supply chain education, training and/or certification through professional organizations (APICS, CSCMP) 

 

Professional/Technical Qualification    

  • 4+ years of experience in BI platforms, Business Intelligence, data modelling.
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis, data query, strong business insights, dashboard and analytics through leadership skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated organizational, creative, and agile problem-solving skills especially for complex, diverse, and ambiguous problems.
  • Proficiency in data engineering to work closely with the data engineer to define the data requirements for modeling purposes. Proficient in data science languages (SQL). 
  • Experience in the CPG industry is a plus. 
  • Ideally experience in SAP, TMS (E2Open).
  • Keen to keep updated on latest technologies.
