Priorities
Service Our Corporate mission is to provide high
quality services to New Brunswickers. High service standards ensure the public
is served effectively, efficiently and responsibly. New
Brunswick is the only officially bilingual province in Canada and services are
actively offered and provided in both official languages. Service delivery teams
consist of unilingual and bilingual individuals. Multi-lingual employees are also
required and assist in activities that are international in scope.
Prosperity
As one of the Province's largest employers, we place significant emphasis on contributing
to New Brunswick's prosperity. We contribute by investing in people, by creating
a competitive fiscal and business environment, by embracing innovation, and by
building a strategic infrastructure. Our public service values are:
- Opportunity
- Responsibility
- Equity
- Community
- Quality
of Life
Opportunity
Our strength lies in our employees. An educated, well trained, skilled, and adaptable
labour force is important to the New Brunswick public service. We have full-time,
part-time, seasonal, and temporary employment opportunities. There are opportunities
for entry level, intermediate, and senior level work as well as for recent university
graduates who are interested in participating in our Internship Program. We are
seeking individuals who: - Can
assist in developing and delivering our services.
- Share
public service values.
- Have
a wide variety of interests, education, training, experience and skills.
- Are
service-oriented, hard working, and committed.
The New Brunswick public service offers many exciting career opportunities in
a variety of fields. Public sector jobs are located throughout our Province in
urban centres as well as in smaller communities.
What
We Have to Offer - A
rewarding work environment.
- An
opportunity for career development and advancement.
- The
tools, training, and support necessary for employees to reach their professional
goals.
- Fair
and reasonable compensation and benefits.
Within
the New Brunswick civil service, competitions are based on the merit principle.
The merit principle is aimed at assuring the best qualified individual is hired
for each position. The qualifications for each job are specified in the competition
advertisement. The
New Brunswick public service, as an equal opportunity employer, actively supports
workplace equity for all persons and is committed to including and reflecting
the population it serves. To
