Position: Part Time Banquet Server

Duties:

• The Banquet Server is the primary guest contact person within the department. As such, it is important that our guests are served in accordance to the Marriott Standards of Food and Beverage in a gracious and professional manner. It is also necessary to take pride in all facets of service, quality, timeliness, appearance and cleanliness.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to work up to 12 hours
• Prolonged periods of standing and walking 
• Carrying a tray at shoulder height weighing up to 20 kgs
• Lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, upward reaching

Qualifications: 

• Previous banquet service experience OR equivalent is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers
• Must be able to function calmly in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple priorities
• Should have knowledge of proper serving etiquette
• Must be 19 years of age or older
• Must have a neat, professional appearance and outgoing personality
• Must be quality and service oriented
• Must be well-organized, motivated, innovative and resourceful
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule which includes, but is not limited to, early mornings and late nights.

Salary: $8.10 per hour for first 3 months; $8.37 per hour after 3 months; plus gratuities (average $5.00 per hour)
