CNA-Qatar offers a comprehensive suite of preparatory technician, technologist and post-diploma programs within the Engineering Technology, Industrial Trades, Business Studies, Health Sciences and Information Communications Technology programs.  We also enjoy many corporate training and contract initiatives

Duties: 

The Instructors will be responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of a broad range of courses within the Industrial Mechanical program.  S/he will evaluate student progress and manage the resources of the learning environment.  The Instructor will liaise with industry and other educational institutions; participate in industry advisory committees and coordinate, manage and control projects within the specified program area.  Instructors will keep course portfolio documents required for accreditation processes and engage in instructional development/improvement plans. All employees are expected to contribute to professional and community life within the College and beyond.

Qualifications: 

Minimum of certificate or diploma in the Industrial Mechanical discipline and Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson Certification.  Candidates should have strong hands-on skills in the related mechanical areas including welding, pipefitting and machine shop work; varied maintenance and troubleshooting experience with mechanical systems found in petroleum refineries, gas processing plants, or petrochemical facilities; maintenance and troubleshooting experience in static equipment and rotating equipment (gas turbines, compressors, pumps, etc.); maintenance planning and scheduling experience pertaining to plant shutdown and equipment overhauls; and experience in vibration analysis and condition monitoring of machinery.  Teacher training and experience teaching at a post-secondary level are definite assets.  Expertise in curriculum development is desirable.  Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills combined with the ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships are required.  Fluency in English is essential.
