Journeyman Machinist (Two Vacancies)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Overtime, Day or Evening shifts
Salary: To be negotiated, dependent on experience, Health Benefits
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, courses, etc.): Machinist Trade Certification, Journeyman, Master Cam Programming
Experience: 5 - 10 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Work Setting: General Machining, CNC Machining, Manufacturing, Tool & Die, Jigs and Fixtures
Type of Machine Experience: Conventional and CNC lathes and Milling Machines, Drill Presses, Sawing Machines, Surface Grinders.
Measuring Tools: Micrometers, Calipers, Gauges
Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Specific Skills: Programming computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools quickly and accurately using Master Cam. Set up and adjust production machinery, Able to make adjustments to save run times. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables, Machine parts to very close tolerance, Verify dimensions of machined tools and parts using precision measuring instruments, Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances. Ability to work independently on projects and to work well with others as a team.
Supervisory/management experience would be considered an asset.
